Years of Trajectory

Based on its participation in Pesquera del Mar Antartico and Primar S.A, Altamar was established in 2007 with a successful track record of operating in aquaculture businesses, made up of a team with more than 30 years of experience.

Primar S.A. In 2010, it partnered with the Japanese Mitsubishi Corporation in the production of Coho Salmon and Trout, and then acquired Humboldt Salmon in 2012. In 2014, a pioneering project to produce Post-Smolts with RAS technology began; initiative that was born from the experiences developed by the team that makes up Altamar in relation to soil cultivation with RAS technology.

We were pioneers in the production of Atlantic Salmon with RAS technology at commercial size and have been part of numerous

post-Smolts production projects. With an excellent team, we have actively participated in more than 15 projects related to RAS systems, ranging from the fry stage to the fattening phase.

Recently, we have been involved in the formation and development of several notable aquaculture projects, such as Mar Andino, Idris Patagonia, and Patagonia Farming, among others. Throughout these initiatives, we have managed to establish sustainable aquaculture, free of chemicals and antibiotics, and in line with the interests of all parties involved.

We deeply value our work, which is why we strive to preserve the environment in which we operate. In this sense, we have carefully selected the best locations in the Altiplano Andes and Argentine Patagonia to ensure water quality, thus satisfying the demands of the most demanding markets in the world, such as Canada, the United States and Japan.
